Kyunghwa Cha is an engineer with expertise in the structural analysis of steel infrastructure under natural disasters based on statistics and probability approaches. Her projects at CHI focus on the retrofit design of steel truss bridges, including the Ben Franklin Bridge and Pulaski Skyway Bridge. She also contributes to the development of 2D/3D finite element models and creates design drawings as a part of various projects.
Kyunghwa holds M.S. degrees in Structural Engineering from both Ohio State University and Korea University, as well as B.S. degree (with Valedictorian / Top of Class in College of Engineering) in Civil Engineering from Seokyeong University.
