CHI Consulting Engineers is excited to announce that our firm has received a 2026 ACEC New York Diamond Award in the category of Structural Systems for the Pulaski Skyway Contract 8B – Truss Bearing and Rocker Bent Replacement project.

The Diamond Award recognizes CHI’s excellence in structural engineering design and innovation for this complex rehabilitation effort. The Pulaski Skyway, a critical transportation link in northern New Jersey, required the replacement of thirty-four (34) aging truss bearings and five (5) truss rocker bents — work essential to ensuring the bridge’s safety and longevity. This award reflects our team’s dedication to solving challenging infrastructure problems with creativity, precision, and collaboration.

CHI acknowledges the outstanding partnership that made this project possible: New Jersey Department of Transportation (Bridge Owner); Skanska USA Civil (General Contractor); and GPI and AECOM (Engineers of Record for permanent structures).
